Happy Birthday, Oregon!
This Valentine's Day weekend, snow bums and newbies alike will head to the mountain for a fun-filled, family-friendly weekend. Willamette Pass is celebrating the state's Sesquicentennial with a Torch Light Parade down the mountain, a Sweetheart Snowball 2-for-1 twilight ski pass deal, music, raffle, races and more! To complete a great weekend in the Cascades, grab dinner and a pint at Brewers Union Local 180, located in Oakridge. Wish on a Star in Salem
Gazing up from under five giant sequoia trees on the Willamette University campus, you'll see the sky framed by the shape of a star. The trees were planted more than 65 years ago by the Class of 1942 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the first university in the West. Today, the secluded setting and romantic view of the stars is the perfect place to steal a smooch from your sweetheart. The Star Trees are located on State Street in front of Waller Hall (across from the Capitol) in Salem.
